
Tyreek McDole, a Haitian-American singer from Florida, has established himself at just 25 as one of the leading voices in contemporary jazz vocals. He first gained attention in 2018 through the Essentially Ellington competition, where Wynton Marsalis recognized him as an exceptional vocalist. Since then, he has performed alongside Rodney Whitaker, Theo Croker, Gary Bartz, and Nicholas Payton, and graced prestigious stages such as Blue Note New York, Dizzy’s Jazz Club, Ronnie Scott’s, and Jazz at Lincoln Center, as well as international festivals including Newport, Monterey, and Jazz in Marciac. Winner of the 2023 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, Tyreek McDole released his debut album Open Up Your Senses in 2025. The album was widely acclaimed and held the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Jazz Charts for over a month, cementing his status as a fresh, powerful, and deeply expressive voice in jazz.
